We Tried the Viral Jersey Mike’s Sandwich and It Changed the Way We’ll Order Forever

As is the case with all fast-food sandwiches, everyone has an opinion about which chain does it best. And while there are a few big (and beloved) sub sandwich contenders, one in particular seems to be a perennial favorite on social media. I don't know about you, but I consistently see Jersey Mike’s orders going viral on TikTok.

Normally, when hundreds or even thousands of social media users are raving about something, that means it’s one of the best. It also means I’m extra keen to try it. 

On a day-to-day basis, my typical order at Jersey Mike's is a #8 Club Sub, but I’ve been known to branch out—especially if something has 5-star reviews. First, it was Nick Jonas’ customized sandwich, which we tried and loved. Now it’s a riff on the #7 Turkey and Provolone that’s going viral on TikTok. And, I can genuinely say that this sandwich has changed the way I’ll order Jersey Mike’s for the rest of time.

What’s in the Viral #7 Sandwich From Jersey Mike’s?

The now-viral order originated on @allyvhenderson's TikTok. It's a #7 Turkey and Provolone sandwich, Mike’s Way (which includes onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil blend, salt, and oregano), but with added mayonnaise and cherry pepper relish, all on the Rosemary Parmesan Bread. The original viral sandwich did have pickles, but most of the creators I saw trying it decided to omit the pickles. I'll be honest, I forgot to add them to my sandwich—but I’m sure the pickles would only serve to elevate it, because pickles and subs are a match made in sandwich heaven.

Prior to seeing this viral video, I didn’t even know Jersey Mike’s offered Rosemary Parmesan Bread or a spicy, tangy cherry pepper relish. Now I know I’ve been missing out this whole time. So, if you didn't know about them either, I'm not joking when I say run—don't walk—to Jersey Mike's to try both.

I Tried The Viral Jersey Mike's Sub

It might be a little dramatic to say that a sub changed my life, but this sub certainly changed the way I’ll order Jersey Mike’s for the rest of it. 

This sandwich has all the makings of a good sandwich; Turkey and provolone is a classic combination, mayo always belongs on a sub, and Mike’s Way is guaranteed to be delicious. But the Rosemary Parmesan Bread and the cherry pepper relish are the game changers—this is what they write love songs about. Truthfully, the only thing I thought could make it better was pickles, and they were supposed to be on there, so it’s pretty much perfect as the original creator intended it.

I’ve always loved Jersey Mike’s plain white bread, but the Rosemary Parmesan Bread takes it up a notch by adding a little cheesiness and herbaceous flavor to the already-great bread. Then, the cherry pepper relish brings the perfect amount of heat without taking away from the other toppings. Together, it creates an incredibly flavorful sandwich that I could see myself eating once a week.

If you already love Jersey Mike’s and have a go-to order number, I’m not saying this sandwich will change what sub you order, but it will change how you order it. I'm certain the Rosemary Parmesan Bread and cherry pepper relish are going to become staples on my Jersey Mike’s Club Sub from here on out. So, whether or not you want to try the entire viral order, I urge you to at least try the bread and spicy relish—you'll thank me (and the creator of the sandwich) later.
