A Ranma 1/2 anime remake has been confirmed! More information is coming from a yet to be opened Ranma anime Twitter account's live stream on July 17th at 6 (Japan time.) Takahashi-sensei says she's looking forward to what the action scenes in the new Ranma anime will look like! The manga was serialized August 1987 to March 1996 and the first anime ran from April 15, 1989, to September 25, 1992!
